Offering of Orignal Art Masterpieces by a Master Artist

About the Maha Genii Vincenti Turriziani

Master of Light – Artist, Composer, Poet Laureate.

Born in New York in 1910; passed Palm Springs, California in 2008

The Maha Genii studied painting at the Otis Art Institute, and opened a gallery in Hollywood on La Cienega Boulevard in 1952. Shortly after that he was requested to do an exhibit at the Coronet Theatre. He also showed his work at the Orange County Museum of Art. Later, in 1972, the Maha Genii opened another gallery, in Palm Springs on Canyon Drive.

His artwork is sometimes referred to as having the flavor of the old Renaissance Masters, with his paintings of landscapes, portraits, spiritual and secular. He uses many techniques, with palette knife, and pastels. He describes his painting style:

"One must be in contact with the spirit, the Holy Spirit, which is in and around man."

"I don't always paint as he or she is: I paint by what you call impress, impressionistic—as I try to capture the soul of the person, not the personality."

Many commentaries on the Maha Genii's colors, balance and movement have been noted.

This is a rare privilege to acquire one of the Maha Genii's original paintings.

It was decided by him that after his passing, his wife, Mahara, should release some of his vast collection.

Apollo's Nymph is blue and white and appears with a soft radiance, and facial splendor. The expression is one of bliss, and purity.

The Maha Genii was inspired to do a matching set, of which this picture is a part. The other painting of this set was also in blue, and featured a image with a turban, which was called "The Blue Maha." It is described below.

You can feel the transcendent bliss, love, and tenderness pouring forth from the artist, as he uses tonal effect of just mainly two colors in various tones.

There is in this painting a beautiful feeling of complete peace, which the Maha Genii embodies as a Master of Light.

The Blue Mahat (Portrait of the Maha Genii)

The Painting
"Portrait of The Maha Genii"
(The Blue Maha)

by The Maha Genii

This oil painting is done on board and beautifully framed with soft white and gold carvings.

The dimensions are:
(no frame)
2'   6" tall by 2' 1/2" wide
(with frame)
3'  5" high by 2'  9" wide

Just two colors say so much as you come to know a bit of the master artist in these renditions of eternal peace, and illumination.

This painting was done in 1965 along with a group of pictures in blue and white of the Christ.

He is painted in deep blue and white of various tones to give a feeling of bliss and strength with wisdom, and pristine splendor. He wears a palette knife turban to show a regalness. The twist of the palette knife going up the turban is flowing.

The Maha Genii has done many self-portraits all with turbans, showing his many embodiments of various incarnations with his mystical imaginative interpretations.

This is a match to the "Apollo's Nymph", also done in 1965. It is described directly above.

You feel the stature and power of the "Blue Maha" as in contrast to "Apollo's Nymph" of resplendence, elegance and gentle purity. These are the masculine and feminine-souls.

They would work their lighted presence so beautifully in a room of contemplation.

By Vincenti Turriziani

Carmen

The Painting
"Carmen"

by Vincenti Turriziani

This is an oil on canvas painting in palette knife.

It is a masterful, technique of various hues of reds, for the toreador garment, with ,greens, turquoise, and yellows in background. The mood is dramatic, the face ready to meet the challenge with calm resoluteness.

This painting has an interesting story as to how the artist was inspired:

In the 1950's there was a Russian Ballet of 'Carmen' by George Beset at the Hollywood Bowl, in which Vincenti Turriziani was a 'super.'

The play was adapted by the Russian composer Schedrin for his ballerina wife, Maya Plisetskaya. Vincenti was in his 40's at the time.

This was an unusual experience for him, being by nature shy and not outgoing, but his manager friend convinced him to play this part—being a dashing young man, he accepted. (In his early days, he sang opera.)

So while still fresh in his memory, his imagination created this female matador, or toreador, which he calls 'Carmen.'
